📣 SANDWICH VOTERS: Get Ready for the September 1st State Primary! 🗳️
The 2026 State Primary is Tuesday, September 1st, and now is a good time to make sure you’re ready to vote. Here are a few important dates and reminders:
✅ Check your voter registration
Make sure your registration is active and your address and party enrollment are correct. You can check your status at VoteInMA.com.
📅 Need to register or update your registration?
Saturday, August 22nd at 5 p.m. is the deadline to register for the State Primary. The Sandwich Town Clerk’s Office will hold a voter registration session that day from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 100 Route 6A.
🗳️ Know your ballot
Your party enrollment determines which ballot you receive:
🔵 Democratic — Democratic ballot
🔴 Republican — Republican ballot
⚪ Unenrolled (No Party) — You may choose either a Democratic or Republican ballot. Voting in a primary does not change your party enrollment.
📬 Voting by mail?
The deadline to request a mail-in ballot for the September 1st Primary is 5 p.m. Tuesday, August 25th. If you received a vote-by-mail application in the mail, be sure to return it by the deadline.
🚶 Want to vote early in person?
Early voting takes place August 22–28 at the Town Municipal Office Building, 100 Route 6A. See the full schedule in the graphic.

Sample Democratic and Republican ballots are available on the Town Clerk’s website so you can review them before you vote.
🗓️ Election Day: Tuesday, September 1st
Polls will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
📍 Sandwich polling locations:
• Precincts 1, 2 & 3 — Corpus Christi Parish Hall, 324 Quaker Meetinghouse Road
• Precincts 4, 5 & 6 — Center for Active Living, 70 Quaker Meetinghouse Road
