It is with great honor and sadness that we hang these ribbons in remembrance of Fern Adkins who passed away Wednesday December 20th at the age of 83. She will be greatly missed and our condolences go out to the Adkins family from all of us at the library.

We are thrilled to announce that fundraising at the Rocky J. Adkins Public Library has begun.🤑 We are raising money for Thriller Thursday, a program that we offer for the kids in our community. Children of all ages are welcome Thursday evenings from 3 to 5, to enjoy snacks, crafts, and lots of learning activities. Our goal in the end is to provide a better program. These are some items that we currently have available. Please feel free to come in and SHARE SHARE SHARE!!!😁

We are currently having an issue with non returned items and fines, so we are requesting the assistance of the community. During the month of October we will be deleting fines with the return of all items that have been previously checked out. So be sure to take advantage of this opportunity while it last! Summer Reading Program 2017

Weekdays June 19th - July 14th with the exception of July 4th(closed for Independence Day)
Drop off: 8-8:30am Pickup: 3-3:30pm
During this four-week program, we have many fun programs planned for your children! Activities include:
Story/Reading Time, Computer Learning, Dance/Karaoke, Water Fun (Fridays), Science Experiments, Trivial Games, and More!

Children ages 5 – 14 are welcome to attend. Space is limited to 60 children.
Children’s breakfast and lunch will be provided daily.

Our Summer Reading Program is completely free, and is provided to children in an attempt to increase reading comprehension and interest during summer break. For more information, please feel free to contact us.
