Today is day 2 of “Music at the Marina” at MK Goddard State Park. Max Schang kicks things off at noon with 2 hours of blues followed by 12th Street Extension from 2-4. Classic cars will be streaming in for the Car Cruise. Food and craft vendors will be set up from 11am to 4pm. Don’t forget your camp chairs.

Our event of the year "Music at the Marina" is 2 days away!!! And it looks like the weather is going to cooperate. In previous posts, we highlighted our 6 bands and sponsors. This post showcases our food and craft vendors. we hope to see you at this amazing event. Don't forget your camp chairs!

The next Friends of Goddard meeting is next Tuesday, July 14 at 6:00 PM. The meeting will be held at the state park office.

We're one month away from Friends of Goddard State Park's annual fundraising event "Music at the Marina", August 8th & 9th. Admission is free to the general public and all donations and contributions go directly to the needs of our beautiful State Park. The two-day event includes 6 live bands, craft and food vendors, free pontoon boat rides and state park programs. The car cruise is Sunday only. Hope to see you there. Don't forget your lawn chair! Ladies, join PFBC education staff for a Women's Hike-in Fishing Program at Maurice K. Goddard State Park to celebrate National Trails Day! This informal program provides an opportunity to socialize, learn, and share fishing experiences with other women anglers.
The hike will be approximately 2 miles in length and some of the terrain we cross will be uneven. Staff will provide fishing equipment however participants will be expected to carry the equipment with them on the hike to the fishing location.
Staff will not provide instructions on casting or knot tying: participants are expected to already have these basic fishing skills.
The exact meeting location will be emailed to registered participants. The fishing license requirement is waived for the duration of the program. We will be practicing catch and release during this fishing program.

Join the Friends of Goddard State Park for the annual Blessing of the Bikes, Saturday, May 16 at 11:00 AM. We'll be next to the Marina Pavilion on the shores of Lake Wilhelm. Cake and Coffee will be served after the blessing. All Bikes Are Welcome.
