Strong winds and heavy rain from Hurricane Isaias continue to affect our area. Our teams are working alongside our partners to clear fallen trees and help restore power where it’s safe to do so.

Please use caution around fallen trees and storm debris, and never go near a downed power line. We’ll continue to share updates as needed.

What’s on the ballot this fall? 🗳️

Sandy Springs voters will consider two ballot questions. Here’s a quick look at what each one would do:

🚗 TSPLOST26 Renewal

The five-year renewal would continue funding local transportation improvements without increasing the existing 0.75% sales tax approved by voters in 2021.

If approved, TSPLOST26 would help fund:
• Sidewalks and pedestrian improvements
• Traffic safety and congestion relief
• Road maintenance and paving
• Multi-use paths and bicycle improvements

So far, TSPLOST has funded approximately $97.2 million in completed projects citywide.

🏗️ Redevelopment Powers

This referendum would give Sandy Springs the legal authority to consider redevelopment tools to support:
• Public infrastructure
• Economic development
• Resident quality of life
• Local businesses

Important to know: This does not approve a current project or redevelopment area. Any future use would require public review and separate approvals.

As a reminder, here are general election information:
