Join us Sunday, August 30, 6pm-7pm PST, 9-10pm EST for our Vacation Vibes Zoom Workshop!
This month's Embracing the Journey is about: Personal Strength and I Statements. This is your space to slow down, connect, and celebrate the everyday moments that shape our lives. Tonight’s open discussion is about finding comfort in the routines we create, the lessons we’ve learned, and the experiences that continue to guide us. We’ll explore questions like: If you could live anywhere in the world for a year, where would you go? Describe a small step you took in the last month to take care of yourself? Who is someone in your life that makes you feel safe, do they know they’re your go to or ride or die person? And more. Together, we’ll share stories, perspectives, challenges, and victories while embracing the journey exactly as it is — with curiosity, gratitude, laughter, and connection. Every voice and life experience has a place in this conversation.

To keep things lively I’ll be of course asking questions: what scene would you rewrite, how would you continue the story, does the story need more or is it great the way the author intended?—-and MORE! in this great discussion coming your way on,
Fiction Addiction. Plus, our new book reads for May’s Fiction Addiction. Happy Reading.

What comes to mind when you see a white cane? If your answer is “no vision”, it may be time to rethink that assumption. A white cane is a symbol of independence, not a measure of how much someone can or cannot see. Many people who use white canes have varying levels of usable vision. Understanding this helps create a more inclusive world for everyone. 💙

💡 Quick Sight Loss Life Hack: The Rubber Band Trick 💡
Tired of accidentally grabbing the wrong bottle in the shower or searching through the pantry by trial and error?
Here is a simple, zero-cost tactile tip: Use rubber bands or hair ties as instant touch-identifiers. Wrap a single rubber band around:
• Shampoo bottles (to instantly tell them apart from conditioner)
• Frequent pantry items (like salt shakers vs. pepper shakers, or broth vs. condensed milk)
• Daily medications or vitamin bottles
Adding a distinct texture allows you to identify household items by feel in seconds—no bright lighting, readers, or magnification required.
