CHILDREN THRIVE HERE! The district serves approximately 4,400 students.

The Oregon Trail School District spans 424 square miles from the outskirts of the city of Gresham to the top of Mount Hood, on the Oregon Trail. It encompasses several distinct, mostly unincorporated, rural areas of Clackamas County, including the communities along the Mount Hood Corridor, Boring, and the City of Sandy. There are five elementary schools, one K-10 charter school, three middle schools, and one high school.

October edition of On the Trail Magazine is now available!
The October edition of On the Trail Magazine, the Oregon Trail School District's quarterly publication, is now out! This edition includes stories on the new Sandy High School Aviation Program, summer school LEGO activities, a profile on the 5th generation family running Clackamas County Bank and photos from the first week of the school year.
On the Trail Magazine can be found as an insert in the October editions of the Mountain Times and Sandy Standard newspapers, while residents of Boring can find them at Kelso Elementary, Naas Elementary and Boring Middle School. Naas Elementary Family Picnic!
Despite some unfavorable weather, families at Naas Elementary arrived at the school bringing food for a special lunch on Friday, Sept. 24, giving them a chance to eat and spend time with their students. Most found space in the cafeteria, while a few did bring their meals outside, as has been tradition in previous years when the weather cooperated.

Sandy Police Officer Jamil Kassab and Student Resource Officer Armando Olmos dropped by the Kelso Elementary SLC on Thursday, Sept. 10, bringing a squad of stuffies along to give to the students. Thanks to the Sandy Police for their special visit and generosity!

July 2026 edition of On the Trail Magazine is now available!
The July edition of On the Trail Magazine, the Oregon Trail School District's quarterly publication, is now out! This edition celebrates the Class of 2026 with a list of all the graduates and photos from the graduation ceremony, a profile on Jon Sandstrom (Sandy High School Class of 1964), a feature on recent health science graduates now working at Cascadia Village Senior Living by Cogir, coverage of the 3rd annual Special Olympics Unified Track Meet, a 2026-27 school calendar that can be pulled out for easy use and a special message from the Wy'East Education Association.
On the Trail Magazine can be found inserted in the Mountain Times and Sandy Standard newspapers.

Graduation 2026!
Friday, June 12 was certainly a lovely day for the Sandy High School Class of 2026, as they walked across the stage at Rolling Hills Community Church during the graduation ceremony. The new graduates, along with their families, friends and loved ones, enjoyed speeches, the announcement of the Most Outstanding Senior (Kamden Luebbert) and music from the school's band and choir, including "Lovely Day," by Bill Withers and Skip Scarborough.
