🎨 Registration is open for the Sandy Arts Guild 2026 Visual Art Show! Online registration will close September 30th. In person registration is available during art drop off on September 30th.
Winners will receive cash prizes. All artists will publicly exhibit and have an opportunity to sell their artwork. The gallery is free and open to the public from October 6-16 at the Sandy Senior Center.

Our sandbag-filling location at 9800 S. is available to residents whose properties may be at risk of flooding from rainfall. This may include homes with downward-sloping driveways, properties at the bottom of steep roads and areas where stormwater could become a concern.
When using sandbags, place them on your property to help direct water away from your home. Do not place sandbags, debris or other materials in roads or on sidewalks, as pictured below. These items can create hazards for motorists, pedestrians and emergency responders.

Join us for a special ceremony honoring those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, as well as Utah officers, first responders and K9 officers who died in the line of duty. The ceremony will include remarks from the Mayor Monica Zoltanski, Police Chief Jeff Nigbur and Fire Chief Ryan McConaghie, and a bagpipe performance by Michael Gibbs.

We are totally on today! The skies have cleared. It’s a beautiful day at the Sandy Amphitheater Park. We can’t wait to see you. We will have some fun performers our Chalk Artist are getting started, and of course, our amazing vendors have brought you bread, fresh produce, and so many wonderful things to admire and see along with our incredible artist Amos Kane, Bryson Photography, Ribbons Art & more. Get breakfast or lunch, decorate some strawberries at Dipped Haus & have some fun with us today! ❤️

With rain expected through the weekend, our Public Works Department has established a self-service sandbag filling station at 9800 S. Highland Drive. The location has sand, empty sandbags and shovels available for residents. Residents are welcome to come by and fill their own sand bags.
It's also recommended to check the storm drains in your neighborhood to make sure there are no blockages which could cause flooding in the event of another heavy rain storm.

We are giving away 5 pound bags of local, water-wise grass seed to Sandy residents. Each bag covers approximately 1,000 square feet. Pick up will take place at Sego Lily Gardens on Thursday, September 10 from 5-7 p.m., and Friday, September 11 from 9-11 a.m. Requests will be reviewed in the order they are received.
