Information . . . All animals adopted are required to be spayed and neutered, which will be payed for at the time of adoption. The animals who are adopted from the shelter receive a free health exam that can be redeemed by our approximate 40 participating veterinarians, within two weeks of adoption. Note: Only anim

With summer temperatures expected to reach the 100s this weekend, please take extra precautions to keep your pets safe.

Make sure they always have plenty of fresh water and access to shade or a cool indoor space. Walk pets during the cooler morning or evening hours, and check the pavement before heading out. If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws.

Most importantly, never leave a pet inside a parked vehicle—even for a few minutes or with the windows cracked. Temperatures inside a car can quickly become deadly.

Our pets depend on us to protect them. Please help keep them cool, hydrated and safe this weekend.

Misty is looking for a home through CAWS - Community Animal Welfare Society!

This beautiful 17-week-old kitten is as sweet as she is stunning. With her soft dilute coat in dreamy shades of gray, Misty is sure to steal your heart the moment you meet her.

Misty is the perfect mix of playful and cuddly. She loves wrestling with her siblings, chasing toy mice around the house, and exploring everything she can. But the second you walk into the room, her playful side melts into a purring cuddle bug who's ready for attention and affection.

Stormi is looking for her forever home through CAWS - Community Animal Welfare Society!

At just 17 weeks old, Stormi is as adorable as her name. With her gorgeous smoky gray coat and bright, curious personality, she's impossible not to fall in love with.

Like any kitten, Stormi is full of fun. She loves climbing to the highest spot she can find, turning shoelaces into toys, and then curling up in your lap for a purring cuddle session. She's thriving in foster care, has excellent litter box manners, and is ready to start her next adventure with a family of her own.

At around 1 year old, Burrito is packed with personality, energy, and brains! This handsome German Shepherd (possibly a Belgian Malinois mix) is looking for an active home that can keep both his body and mind busy. If you're searching for a hiking buddy, training partner, or adventure companion, Burrito could be the perfect fit.

He's a smart, driven dog who will thrive with plenty of exercise, enrichment, and positive training. Puzzle toys, sniff walks, agility, or learning new skills are all right up his alley. He doesn't seem to know many basic commands yet, but he's eager to please and ready to learn.

Despite all that energy, Burrito has a sweet, affectionate side. He loves coming over for pets and will gently nudge you when he thinks it's time for a little more attention.

Puppuchino is looking for a home at West Jordan Animal Services!

This adorable young pup is around 1 year old and is believed to be a Border Collie mix. She's looking for a patient family who will give her the time and love she needs to blossom.

Puppuchino is a little shy at first and is still learning that the world is a safe place. She'll thrive with someone who understands that trust takes time and is willing to let her build confidence at her own pace. Every small victory will be worth it.

She's also shown an adventurous streak and has tried to escape before, so she'll need a secure, fully fenced yard and supervision while outside until she settles in and realizes she's finally home.

Espresso is a handsome young Lab mix available for adoption at West Jordan Animal Services!

At around 1 year old, he currently weighs just 15 pounds but will likely be closer to 30 pounds once he's at a healthy weight. This beautiful brindle boy had a rough start to life, arriving at the shelter scared and much too thin. But beneath his timid exterior is a sweet dog who's just waiting for someone to show him that people can be kind.

Treats are the fastest way to Espresso's heart. He'll happily stick close if snacks are involved, and while gentle pets are still new to him, you can see him slowly beginning to realize that affection isn't something to fear.

Espresso is looking for a patient family willing to let him build trust at his own pace. With time, love, and consistency, we have no doubt he'll blossom into a loyal, devoted companion. Sometimes the dogs who need us the most end up changing our lives the most.

Mocha is the longest resident at West Jordan Animal Services and she'd love nothing more than to find a home 💛

When Mocha arrived at the shelter, she was heartbreakingly thin and came in with what staff believe were her puppies. Despite everything she's endured, she's remained incredibly gentle, trusting, and full of love.

Mocha is the definition of a sweetheart. She loves exploring the yard, sniffing every inch of the grass, and soaking up the sunshine. Treats are one of her favorite things, and while she still gets a little overexcited taking them (watch those fingers!), it's hard not to smile knowing she's finally learning she never has to worry about where her next meal is coming from.

She's also one smart girl! Mocha already knows sit, down, spin, sit pretty, and shake, and she'd love a family who will continue teaching her while giving her the love and security she's been missing.

Aries is one of the longest residents at North Utah Valley Animal Shelter and has been looking for a home for over a month with no interest 💔

Aries appears to be an older guy—likely around 6–8 years old—and he is such a sweet, gentle boy. At around 35–40 pounds (with a little extra weight he could stand to lose), Aries is a great medium size. He absolutely loves treats and gets adorably excited for them, even doing little tippy taps with his feet that are impossible not to smile at. He’s incredibly sweet, enjoys human attention, and walks nicely on a leash.

Golden is one of the longest residents at North Utah Valley Animal Shelter, and heartbreakingly, he hasn’t received a single adoption inquiry in the past six weeks 💔

Around 6 years old, Golden is a beautiful boy with the gentlest soul. He’s incredibly submissive and can be startled by sudden movements or unfamiliar situations, so he’s looking for a patient, kind adopter who will give him the time he needs to feel safe. As his confidence grows, so does his sweet, affectionate personality.

Outside the kennel, Golden comes alive. He loves sprinting around with joyful zoomies, exploring the outdoors, and soaking up every minute of freedom. He has also done well with other dogs at the shelter.
