What a fantastic night at our National Night Out event! We were excited to partner with Northview Christian Church to host this community event at our Main Station.

We had a blast with kids of all ages, enjoying delicious food and fellowship. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with our neighbors and strengthen our community bonds.

As a Full-time Firefighter, you will:

Respond to fire emergencies and perform firefighting duties
Provide emergency medical care
Conduct pre-plans and fire education programs
Participate in ongoing training and drills

Minimum Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years old
Valid driver's license
High school diploma or GED
Must be able to pass a physical agility test, background check, and drug screening
Must be NC Certified Firefighter 1-2
Must be NC HazMat Level 1 Responder
Must be EVD Certified
Must have a Class B Drivers License
Applicants must be minimum Medical Responder

NCDOT UPDATE:
Hawkins Ave / Traffic Circle Update as of Thursday, May 16th @
Noon.

Due to weather over the past two weeks, this project was extended. If the weather remains clear today and tonight, crews should be able to complete the project Thursday night with the potential to work overnight on Friday for finishing touches.

Hawkins Ave traffic circles and all entry/exit ramps will be closed nightly for road maintenance from 6pm to 6am during this period. Plan to take an alternate route. Project could be extended into the week of May 12-16 if delayed by weather May 5-9.

Again, please plan to take an alternate route and stay tuned for any updates.

Residents traveling on Amos Bridges towards Hawkins Ave should be allowed to turn left onto Hawkins Ave with the assistance of onsite personnel from NCDOT and/or law enforcement as of this posting.
