Please read the following notice from Harnett County Government and Regional Water:

July 2, 2026: Due to the latest guidance from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers regarding Jordan Lake discharge reductions, Harnett Regional Water is implementing Water Conservation Stage 1, effective immediately.

When a Voluntary Water Shortage Alert is declared, the following voluntary conservation measures by users shall be in effect:
💧 Addresses ending in 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9 watering of lawns, grass, shrubbery, trees, flowers, and vegetable gardens shall only be done on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday and addresses ending in the number 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8 on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
💧 Customers should reduce outdoor water usage by decreasing the frequency and duration of landscape irrigation.
💧 Washing of automobiles, trucks, trailers, boats, airplanes, or any other type of mobile equipment should be limited.
💧 Outside areas such as streets, driveways, service station aprons, parking lots, office buildings, exteriors of existing or newly constructed homes or apartments, sidewalks, or patios should not be washed.
💧 Introduction of water into any pond, ornamental fountain, pool, or other structure should be postponed until the water conservation measures are lifted.
💧 Water from public or private fire hydrants used for purposes other than fire suppression, other public emergency, or water department needs should be minimized or alternative sources utilized.
💧 Use of potable water for dust control or compaction should be limited.

🔥 Burn Ban Update 🔥

The statewide burn ban was officially lifted on May 3, 2026 at 8:00 AM.

While the ban is no longer in effect, conditions remain dry and can still be dangerous. We urge everyone to use extreme caution when burning outdoors.

If you choose to burn:

* ✔️ Follow all local and state regulations
* ✔️ Keep a water source or hose nearby
* ✔️ Never leave a fire unattended
* ✔️ Avoid burning on windy days
* ✔️ Make sure your fire is completely extinguished before leaving

Let’s continue to protect our community and prevent unnecessary fires. Stay safe! 🚒

On April 11, 2026, Benhaven Emergency Services proudly participated in Harnett County Firefighter’s Day for the first time in many years—and we made it count!

🏆 4 Trophies Brought Home:
🥇 1st Place – Fire Streams
🥉 3rd Place – Hose/Gear Race
🥉 3rd Place – Bucket Brigade
🥉 3rd Place – Hazardous Duty

We are incredibly proud of our team: Lt. Leon McDougald, FF Mattie Ramos, and our dedicated volunteers Mark Boles, Kristina Prince, and Brandon Fulwood.

This team represented Benhaven with hard work, determination, and pride. 💪
