I am running for the District 4 County Commissioner seat, and I hope to gain your support and ultimately your vote to keep Lee County strong, smart and safe. My family and I have been honored to call Lee County home since the beginning of 2019, but we’ve been North Carolinians since 2007. We moved from two small towns in Florida in hopes of finding something bigger and better, and what we’ve learn
ed over the last decade is bigger isn’t always better, and it’s always the right fit for everyone. We decided that Lee county was the place to plant roots and raise our family. So that’s exactly what we are doing with our four young children, here in Lee County. They are in school here, participate in sports here and we are active members in our local church. My husband and I both own small businesses, mine is located here in Sanford, and we are well versed in the time, effort and grit it takes to operate and own a small business. I am a local softball coach for U-11 girls, run the events at our church, volunteer where I can, and have started a local nonprofit for used sports equipment. I am a NC State alumni with an Agricultural Business Management degree, and I was able to gain an understanding of and knowledge of just how important agriculture is to this state as well as to our residents right here in Lee County. I will continue the efforts of our current members who have worked to decrease the tax rate, and aid in the efforts of balanced housing. Lee County welcomed us with open arms and I will be the conduit that fosters that same sense of community that has gotten lost over the last few years, and look forward to bringing my “Be the Good” motto to the residents of District 4.
