Gov Mills ended the statewide Needle Exchange during Covid transforming it into a syringe distribution program. Twice submitted, the Dems voted down my bill to revert back to needle return. Now HIV and Hep B surge in Cumberland & Penobscot counties. The new Governor must mandate needle return and end this public health emergency.

Maine has fourth highest tax burden in the nation. Yet we mirror NH in population size, climate, tourism, agriculture, aquaculture, and the shared reliance on small businesses and seasonal workers. It’s doable- we should aspire to replicate New Hampshire’s success and reduce the financial burden on working Mainers. I do NOT support robust spending, taxing more and drawing down on the Reserve Fund.
