Strike team 9430C was assigned to Division Delta on the Timber Fire, where the crew assisted with an IWI (Incident Within an Incident) training drill.

As part of the training exercise, our Line Medic was getting signed off on incident responsibilities while working alongside the crew in a realistic operational environment.

Training like this helps keep our firefighters and medical personnel prepared to operate safely and effectively on the fireline! 💪🔥

9435G and 9434G remain assigned to the Colorado Fire. Today, both crews are assigned to Division Sierra, where they are working on mop-up operations and strengthening containment lines.

Both units were also assigned to the fire during the initial attack when additional resources were brought in. They continue to work hard alongside firefighters from across the state to keep the community and surrounding areas safe! The County of Fresno

Late this afternoon, crews responded to a wildland fire in the area of Kings Canyon Road and Zumwalt Road just east of Sanger. Crews quickly contained the fire to approximately 17 acres. The County of Fresno CHP Fresno Fresno County Sheriff's Office CAL FIRE Aviation Program

This marks an incredible milestone for the Fresno County Fire Protection District as we begin the process of bringing our paramedic program back! This is a tremendous step forward for emergency medical services and, most importantly, for the communities we serve.
 
The community of Caruthers and the surrounding areas will benefit greatly from having enhanced emergency medical care closer to home. The paramedic program will help us better serve our residents when they need us most.
 
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who played a crucial role in making this possible. From the firefighters and paramedics to leadership, community members, partners, and everyone who worked behind the scenes — this achievement would not have happened without your dedication, support, and perseverance.
 
This truly demonstrates what teamwork looks like!

Late this afternoon, crews responded to a wildland fire in the area of Auberry Road cross of Jose Basin Road in Auberry. Crews quickly contained the fire to less than a quarter of an acre. This morning, crews were dispatched to multiple grass fires in the area of Highway 180, near Leonard Avenue, just east of the City of Fresno. Engine 84 was the first arriving unit and reported approximately half an acre of grass burning at a moderate rate of spread, with the potential to grow to two acres.

The fire was quickly contained and controlled. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

One structure was threatened by the fire and crews were able to save it because no matter the structure, we’re here to protect it!

And yes… that includes saving the outhouse! 🚽😂 The County of Fresno

Crews responded to a reported house fire in the area of Sand Creek Road cross of Ennis Road, south of Yokuts Valley. Engine 4373 was the first arriving engine and reported an exterior fire on the porch. The crew from Engine 4373 quickly extinguished the fire and prevented it from extending into the home.

No one was home when the fire started. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The County of Fresno Pacific Gas and Electric
