Leak is secured. Use caution in the area as Atmos still has a team out there working.

There is an active natural gas leak in the 5500 block of Andover. Atmos is enroute. Please avoid the area while emergency crews mitigate the scene. Precautionary evacuations have taken place. No other evacuations will be necessary.

BT125 is currently assigned to the Ross Fire in Palo Pinto and Jack Counties. It’s well over 50,000 acres and 8% contained. They are experiencing extreme fire behavior, and working to protect life and property. Too busy for them to send pictures. More updates as I get them.

BT125 along with ST183 continue to operate in the panhandle. Their deployment was extended and a successful crew swap occurred yesterday evening. They were immediately sent out to the Arroyo Creek Fire in Roberts County for night ops.

Fire is 15 acres and 80% contained as of this morning.

TIFMAS UPDATE

SPFD BT125 as part of ST183, along with numerous other agencies, fought the Grass Burr Fire in Cottle County. Very high temps (107°), low RH, and gusty winds made catching this one a challenge. One house was threatened and saved by the work of ST183 and local FD’s.

BT125 continues to be staffed with our own Captain Hensley and two outstanding personnel from the Flower Mound Fire Department. This is what successful local, regional, and statewide collaboration looks like.
