It takes thoroughness and a sharp eye for detail. Our sign crew carefully measures and checks every element to make sure each sign is accurate before it hits the road.

🚶 🚲 The Jeffrey Open Space Trail Bicycle & Pedestrian Bridge is officially open!

Thanks to everyone who joined us today for the ribbon cutting and inaugural walk and ride across the bridge.

The nearly 1,200-foot-long bridge spans Walnut Avenue, the Caltrans Orange County District 12 Jeffrey Road Park & Ride, and the I-5 Freeway. It connects to the Jeffrey Open Space Trail and Cypress Village Trail to the north and the JOST extension to the south.

The addition of this bridge completes a key linkage between trails that extend from the Pacific Ocean all the way to the Santa Ana Mountains and Cleveland National Forest. It also marks a significant step toward a more connected and sustainable community.

Laguna Canyon Road has a new look!
Caltrans celebrated on August 4 the recent completion of the Laguna Canyon Road project, a $44 million project to make SR-133 safer for cyclists and motorists.
Along the SR-133 corridor, between El Toro Road and SR-73, Caltrans installed Class II Bike Lanes, improved drainage, relocated electrical utilities to underground to reduce wildfire risk, and enhanced pedestrian safety features.
