Spring Semester Awards, but make it 4th-8th grade!

We’re so proud of all of the growth and hard work that has happened this second semester, Scholars!

Whether this was the first or 18th time you walked the famed red carpet, congrats to every student who received recognition for perfect attendance, English-Language Arts, Math, Soccer, Art, and Basketball!

Two campuses. One stage. The Scholarship Prep Orange County and South Bay Jazz Bands brought it all to The Mint in Los Angeles alongside jazz bands from eight schools across Southern California.

Before the big night, our South Bay and OC Scholars came together for a joint rehearsal, played for each other, pushed each other, and walked away teaching each other new techniques. That camaraderie carried straight into the showcase.

At our Santa Ana campus, Jazz Empowers offers bucket drumming and piano for elementary Scholars and jazz band for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, all as part of the free Scholarship Prep experience.

Three years with Jazz Empowers, and this was our most exciting showcase yet! We are so proud of our Scholars. Don’t miss their final performance of the year, May 26th at the 17th St. campus beginning at 4:45 PM 🎷🥁🎹

Promotion season is here at Scholarship Prep Orange County!

Kindergarten families arrived on campus recently to pick up caps, gowns, and invitations before heading to the courtyard for our third annual breakfast.

The amazing meal from Revolution Foods and generous donations from our families made our time together even more special. We are so thankful you are part of our Stingray community and for this opportunity to reflect on the school year before the end-of-year excitement really kicks in. It was a chance to slow down, look around, and take in how far we have all come since August.

Fridays at Scholarship Prep Orange County mean one thing: Lunch Bunch is in session, and our 2nd graders are running the kitchen.

🥟 🥬 🫕 Recently, our Scholar chefs took on gyozas. Students prepped their own vegetable and tofu filling, mixed a soy dipping sauce from scratch, and folded and sealed each dumpling by hand. Their Lunch Bunch instructor handled the hot pan, and by the time our Scholars came back from lunch, a fresh batch of golden gyozas was waiting for them.

Through our partnership with , Scholars build real culinary skills, develop teamwork and leadership, and learn what it takes to prepare nutritious meals from scratch. They are not just learning to cook. They are developing the creative thinking and entrepreneurial mindset that will serve them well beyond the kitchen.

At Scholarship Prep Orange County, STEM isn’t something Scholars read about… it’s something they do. 🔬🧪

Every Friday, our Scholars spend dedicated time asking questions, designing solutions, and testing ideas that sometimes fail spectacularly before they succeed. 🚀🪐

Last week, our families got a front-row seat to that process during our annual STEM Open House. Scholars walked their special guests through experiments, demonstrated prototypes, and explained their engineering process with confidence. They weren’t just displaying projects; they were running the labs! 🛠️🤖

Last night, Scholarship Prep Stingray families gathered at our 17th Street campus for a free outdoor screening of Zootopia 2 under the stars, and it was the perfect way to spend a Thursday evening together.

A huge thank you to our School Operations Managers, Mrs. Roldan and Mrs. Prado, for planning a night our Stingray community will not forget. Moments like these are part of what make Scholarship Prep more than a school. It's a place where Scholars and families truly belong. Three weeks of winter break later, our Stingrays are heading back to campus tomorrow, and we cannot wait to welcome our Scholars home for the start of second semester.

This first semester was full of moments that brought our Orange County Stingray familia together. Learning in classrooms, fun at campus events, and community celebrations that reminded us how special this place is. From big milestones to everyday wins, our Scholars showed up with heart, pride, and curiosity.

Winter Break is here, and Scholarship Prep Orange County wrapped up the first semester with a finale worth applauding.

Last week, Scholars took the stage at our annual Performing Arts Winter Showcase on the 17th Street Santa Ana campus, performing dance, cheer, and music for a standing-room-only crowd.

From TK–3 dance routines and a high-energy cheer performance to keyboard, jazz band, and bucket drumming from our after-school Jazz Empowers program, the night celebrated a semester of creativity, tenacity, and growth.

Wishing our Scholars and families a restful, joyful winter break. We’ll see you in the new year!
