to 1954 and one of the major events on the Junior League of Santa Barbara calendar: the Knight in Paradise Dinner & Dance at the Coral Casino! ✨

The evening embraced a medieval theme, complete with armor, shields, spears, and even a bar decorated as a jousting tent. One of the highlights of the night was a fashion presentation featuring League members modeling “Fashions, Furs, and Frivolities” — pictured here from our archives.

For generations, JLSB members have found creative ways to gather, celebrate, and come together in support of the League and its work in our community. ❤️

We had such a wonderful afternoon at our JLSB Teens Info Tea Party! 💙✨

It was so much fun meeting some of the incredible young women interested in joining JLSB Teens, sharing more about the program, and talking about all that’s ahead — leadership development, mentorship, friendship, and meaningful community impact.

A very special thank you to Noe’s for helping make our afternoon possible! They generously provided the tent and helped us get set up with tables, and brought delicious food for everyone to enjoy. We are so grateful for their support of JLSB Teens and our community. 💙

Thank you as well to everyone who joined us and to our Junior League members who helped make the afternoon so special. We’re so excited to welcome the inaugural JLSB Teens class!

We are thrilled to announce that the Junior League of Santa Barbara will be hosting Southwest Exchange 2026! 🌴☀️🌊

This October, we’ll welcome delegates representing Junior Leagues from across the Southwestern United States to beautiful Santa Barbara for an unforgettable weekend of connection, collaboration, and leadership.

We’re kicking things off on the water with a Sunset Cruise Welcome Reception ⛵️🌅, followed by a weekend of inspiring speakers, fresh ideas, meaningful connections, and plenty of Santa Barbara fun.

We kicked up our heels and had the best time at our Line Dancing Recruitment Social! 🤠👢✨

Such a fun evening of dancing, laughing, and connecting with both familiar and new faces! We loved welcoming prospective members and giving them a glimpse of the friendships, community, and opportunities that come with being part of JLSB. 💛

Last night’s S.A.F.E. House & Living Arrows Info Night was a meaningful opportunity for members to learn more about our signature project, the youth we serve, and the many ways they can get involved. 💙💛

S.A.F.E. House provides a safe and supportive home for girls ages 12–17 who have survived trafficking. Living Arrows serves transitional-age youth ages 18–21 through two homes—one for young women and one for young men—providing support as they transition into adulthood and greater independence. Together, these programs are at the heart of JLSB’s Signature Project.

The evening brought this work to life—not simply as programs we support, but through the stories, resilience, and hope of the young people at the heart of them. Members who have already been working with the youth joined newer members eager to get involved, many of whom were fingerprinted on-site to take the first step toward working with these wonderful youth.

A special thank you to Raina Palta, former JLSB President and current board member of 4Kids2Kids, which oversees the operations of S.A.F.E. House and Living Arrows, for sharing her insight, experience, and heart for this important work; to Sienna Long, S.A.F.E. House Facility Manager, for speaking so openly with our members and answering every question with honesty and warmth; and to JLSB Community Council Director Irene Martinez for bringing our members together for such a meaningful night.

Moments like these are what turn our mission into action—and remind us why we show up.

We had to hop on the “kinda chic” trend… 💅✨

For more than 100 years, the women of the Junior League of Santa Barbara have come together to lead, serve, learn, advocate, build friendships, and make an impact in our community.

From developing women leaders and mentoring the next generation to raising funds, supporting local organizations, and advocating for causes that matter, there are so many ways to make a difference through JLSB.

Turns out, making an impact never goes out of style. 🤍
