There’s more to discover at Franceschi Park 🧭

Work is underway to add new trails to connect visitors with more areas of the 17-acre park. Crews are also working to improve and repair existing trails and pathways to make the park easier and safer to explore.

Up next? Native habitat restoration this winter. 🌱

Join us this Sunday for another free performance at the Plaza del Mar Band Shell for our Arts in the Open series. 🎸

Delta by the Beach will bring the soulful sounds of the Mississippi Delta to SB with their blend of blues, roots, and Americana. Pack a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy an afternoon of live music under the trees. 🌳

Come cheer on our Santa Barbara Junior Lifeguards at East Beach! 🌊

The Junior Lifeguard Fiesta Invitational brings hundreds of Junior Lifeguards from across California together for a full day of friendly competition.

Spectators are invited to cheer on the athletes as they race through ocean swims, paddle events, beach flags, relays, and more. It's a great chance to see the teamwork, athleticism, and skills our JGs have been building all summer. 💚

Outreach for the first Parks and Recreation Master Plan in over 40 years is officially underway, and we want to hear from you!

Throughout the summer, our team will be out in parks and at community events asking for your ideas, priorities, and feedback to shape the future of these shared spaces. Come say hello as you see us around town. 👋

Bob Baker Marionettes are returning to Santa Barbara after making their Coachella debut. 🌴

Join us on Saturday, June 27, at the Plaza del Mar Band Shell for a whimsical performance featuring handcrafted puppets, music, storytelling, and larger-than-life characters that have delighted audiences for generations.

To make it easier for families to enjoy, there will be two FREE performances.

Older teens can enjoy recreation swim at our full-size pool, Los Baños del Mar, for $1. Adults are $5.

All swim lesson participants receive a free swim pass for one adult and two children to enjoy recreational swim at Los Baños all summer. ☀️

We are just two weeks away from Santa Barbara's Fourth of July Celebration! 🎆

This event, hosted by the Waterfront and Parks and Recreation Departments, brings a full day of free, festive, family-friendly activities to Santa Barbara's waterfront before wrapping up with a 20-minute fireworks display!

🗓️ Mark your calendars for your once-a-year chance to enjoy pop-up food vendors on Cabrillo Boulevard and live music on the sand at the West Beach Bandstand.
