On this election eve— I’m profoundly grateful for the teachers, paraeducators, principals, district employees, parents, students and supporters who have taken the time to reach out and tell me that they are glad I’m running for school board in Santa Clara Unified. Your words of encouragement have meant so much as I’ve entered into the world of local politics with the goal of doing good and improving our school district.
Please vote, make a plan, and use your voice.

This is some very interesting research about the impact of the pandemic on school districts. It’s clear that we have a lot of work to do, but with the right people to guide our district, our students will rebound and our schools will recover.

Stanford and Harvard researchers have produced an unprecedented map of trends in learning loss, combining local and national test score data to reveal patterns that vary from one school district to the next.
