FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Public Information Release – Graffiti Incidents Under Active Investigation
The Santa Clara Police Department is actively investigating a recent surge in graffiti and vandalism throughout our community. These acts are not harmless—they are criminal offenses that damage property, reduce community pride, and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
We want to be clear: investigators have already identified a person of interest and have strong reason to believe we know who is responsible for these acts. This investigation is ongoing, and we are actively working toward filing criminal charges.
However, in order to solidify the case and ensure successful prosecution, we are calling on members of the community to come forward. If you witnessed any of these incidents, have surveillance footage, or can positively identify the individual involved, your information is critical.
Those responsible should understand that accountability is coming. Graffiti-related offenses carry significant penalties, including criminal charges, fines, and restitution for damages.
Anyone with information is urged to contact:
•City Hall - 575-537-2443 (ask for Mayor Lopez)
•Santa Clara PD- 575-537-5464
•message City Hall or Fire Department page
All tips can be provided confidentially.
We appreciate the community’s cooperation and will continue to take a firm, proactive stance against vandalism in our town. Additional updates will be provided as appropriate.
