The Santa Clara Fire Department was established in 1854 when local residents formed the Columbia Hose Volunteer Fire Company. Today, the City has 10 fire stations consisting of 8 engines, 2 trucks, 1 rescue/light unit, 3 ambulances, 1 hazardous materials unit, and 1 command vehicle.

Thanks again to everyone who came out for National Night Out!
It was a great evening connecting with our community, answering questions, showing off our equipment, and discussing important fire safety tips. Events like this remind us that strong neighborhoods and strong partnerships help keep everyone connected.
We appreciate the City Council and City Leadership for attending the block parties throughout the City with Police and Fire. Thank you to everyone who participated and we can’t wait to see you again at the next community event!

The Santa Clara Fire Department was excited to welcome some members of the 49ers organization to Fire Station 2 for a behind-the-scenes visit! 🏈🚒 For the first time, current and former players, coaches, front office staff, and their families received a firsthand look at what SCFD firefighters do on a day-to-day basis. Everyone had a great time and learned a lot! Fire station visits are available to the community providing a unique opportunity to meet firefighters, see some of the equipment, and learn more about what they do to keep our community safe.
