Alzheimer’s and other dementias cause memory, thinking and behavior problems that interfere with daily living. Join us to learn how to recognize common signs of the disease; how to approach someone about memory concerns; the importance of early detection and benefits of a diagnosis; possible tests and assessments for the diagnostic process, and Alzheimer’s Association resources.

This education program will help you recognize common signs of the disease in ourself and others and next steps to take, including how to talk to your doctor. Presented by Alzheimer's Association. Seating is first-come, first-served.

If you've been keeping up with developments at the Mono County Free Libraries, you know all about the recent surge in li-bear-ian activity in California.  Un-bear-lievably, Santa Clara can no longer be considered a safe haven from these paw-some creatures.

This week, October 18–24, 2026, is United Against Hate Week. In honor of this week, the Santa Clara City Library reaffirms our commitment to being a welcoming space for everyone.

We celebrate the diversity of Santa Clara and strive to ensure that all community members feel respected, included, and that they belong. We stand united against hate, intolerance, and bias.

We hope you'll join us by visiting any Santa Clara City Library this week and share a message of belonging which will be displayed during our Voiced United Against Hate: Group Sing-a-long on Friday, October 23, from 4 - 5:00 p.m. at the Central Park Library's Margie Edinger Room.

Together, we can choose kindness, speak up for one another, and help build a Santa Clara where everyone can thrive.
