Held every May, National Police Week honors the brave law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities and our nation.

This week is a time to reflect, remember, and express gratitude for the courage and dedication of our fallen heroes, while also recognizing the men and women who continue to serve each day with commitment and integrity.

We stand in remembrance, gratitude, and support for the families, friends, and agencies who carry their legacy forward. 💙

The Every 15 Minutes program is a two-day program focusing on high school juniors and seniors that challenges them to think about drinking, driving, personal safety, the responsibility of making mature decisions, and the impact their decisions have on family, friends, their community, and many others.

The program brings together a broad coalition of interested local agencies with the goal of reducing alcohol-related incidents among youth. The partnering of the California Highway Patrol, local law enforcement, emergency medical responders, schools, businesses, and service clubs validates the importance of working together to ensure a healthy community. This powerful program is designed to create an awareness among students that they are not invincible. This program helps open emotional doors and students experience firsthand how their actions affect the lives of so many other people. Funding for this program is provided through the California Office of Traffic Safety.

A year ago, the Eaton and Palisades Fires devastated entire communities. Thousands of homes were lost, lives were uprooted, and the weight of that loss is still felt today. We remember not just what was taken, but the strength, courage, and hope that continue to rise from the ashes, along with the power of partnership and the reassurance that, in moments of unimaginable crisis, the California Highway Patrol is always there to serve, protect, and stand with our communities.
