Big congratulations are in order! Santa Fe businesses are bringing home some serious grant wins this month.

JTIP Award Winners (Job Training Incentive Program)

Bandelier Technologies (Bandelier Technologies), Tumbleroot Brewing (Tumbleroot Brewery & Distillery), and UpSpring Associates were awarded funding through the state’s Job Training Incentive Program. JTIP reimburses companies for a portion of wages while they train new employees, making it easier for local businesses to grow their workforce.

What a wonderful morning at Southwestern College where Santa Fe Small Business Navigator hosted their Wellness Industry Exchange! We heard from many Santa Fe players about how to connect with them to help your practice out, and more importantly, from the business owners who introduced themselves and where they are looking for assistance.

Thanks to everyone who came out, EMW, WESST, SCORE Mentors Santa Fe and all of our partners. Bringing communities together is the best way to help each other out.

SWAIA Indian Market weekend is officially here, and it started right, with the Best of Show Awards this morning. The speeches were genuinely touching, big congrats to Sergio Lugo (Sergio Lugo) on the win!

SWAIA Santa Fe Indian Market Indian Market and Fashion Weekend kicked off this morning, and the energy was already electric. 4KINSHIP’s Indigenous Futures 4Ever brought together a crowd of young people to hear from Amy Denet Deal of 4Kinship, Mayor Mike Garcia, FIT NYC (Fashion Institute of Technology), and reps from Ralph Lauren on where Indigenous fashion is headed next and the opportunities opening up in the industry.

Indigenous Futures 4Ever exists to put resources and opportunity directly in the hands of Native youth, and today was a good reminder of why that work matters.

This morning our team joined an important conversation about the federal decisions shaping New Mexico’s economy.

U.S. Representative Melanie Stansbury Rep. Melanie Stansbury was the featured speaker, sharing her perspective on the issues before Congress and what they mean for New Mexico’s businesses and communities.

We also heard updates from the offices of Senator Martin Heinrich Senator Martin Heinrich, Senator Ben Ray Luján Senator Ben Ray Luján, Representative Gabe Vasquez Rep. Gabe Vasquez, and Representative Teresa Leger Fernández Rep. Teresa Leger Fernández, along with perspectives from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Federal decisions touch infrastructure, workforce development, water, energy, our national labs, defense, healthcare, small business, agriculture, and rural development.
