Calling All Young Democrats!

The Young Democrats of Santa Fe County mobilizes young people to volunteer and influence the platform of the Democratic Party. The group develops skills and networks for youth who want run for office and become leaders at the local and national levels as well as serve as voting members on the executive committee of the Democratic Party of Santa Fe County.

Our existing leadership will not be seeking reelection and we will be rebuilding the organization’s team by electing new officers (president, vice president, secretary and treasurer) this month. This , we reaffirm our commitment to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic and the stigma faced by HIV+ people. 1.2 million Americans live with HIV, and thanks to modern medicines, they can live long and healthy lives.

Undetectable HIV+ people cannot transmit the virus. Remember, U=U. PrEP is 99% effective at preventing HIV. Stigma is a hurdle we still have to overcome.

Education, prevention, testing, and treatment are our best tools to end this epidemic, which has killed 40 million people worldwide. Together we can .
