Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifice allows us to enjoy the freedoms, communities, and beautiful outdoor places we cherish.

From all of us at New Mexico State Parks, thank you to our fallen heroes. Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day on the water.

As you gather with family and friends at New Mexico’s lakes and State Parks this Memorial Day, we invite you to pause and reflect — and to boat safely while you honor Memorial Day.

Please always wear a life jacket, stay sober while operating a vessel, and keep an eye on changing weather conditions.

Cielos grandes. Orillas llenas.
