Esperanza Shelter's domestic abuse services include a 24/7 domestic violence hotline (505-416-7184 or 888-473-5312); temporary emergency residential shelter; individual counseling and support groups, child therapy; case management/community navigation; court advocacy; and outreach/education. Esperanza also has an offenders' program to help abusers break the cycle of violence. Esperanza welcomes all people in need of our services.

Whether you're healing from an unhealthy relationship, looking to build confidence, or simply seeking a supportive community, these free and confidential groups provide a safe space to learn, grow, and connect with others on a similar journey.

🧒 Group child therapy is available at the same time, so you can focus on your own healing while your children receive age-appropriate therapeutic support in a safe, nurturing environment.

In FY2026, Esperanza Shelter provided 82% more direct client services than the previous year, helping more people find safety, healing, and hope.
