๐Ÿ›BIG CHANGES ARE COMING TO JOE A. TAMBRELLA PARK!๐ŸŽ‰

Joe A. Tambrella Park will close beginning Monday, September 14, 2026, for maintenance and we have an exciting reason for the temporary closure!

โœจA brand-new playground is on the way!โœจ

During the closure, crews will be removing the existing playground equipment and preparing the area for the installation of new equipment. Work will continue over the coming weeks, with the schedule dependent on weather and other project conditions.

We appreciate our communityโ€™s patience and understanding while crews work to complete these improvements safely. We will share updates as work progresses and let everyone know when the park is ready to reopen.

We cannot wait for Santa Fe families to enjoy the new playground!๐ŸŽ‰

๐ŸŒง๏ธ Tropical Storm Edouard Update | September 1, 2026

The City of Santa Fe is continuing to monitor Tropical Storm Edouard as it approaches the Upper Texas Coast.

According to the NOAA NWS National Hurricane Center, Edouard is expected to strengthen before reaching the northwestern Gulf Coast later today. While the strongest wind and storm surge impacts are currently expected east of our area, heavy rainfall and the potential for flash flooding remain the primary concerns for our area.

๐ŸŒง๏ธ Rainfall: The National Weather Service anticipates rainfall amounts of 3โ€“5 inches within the Flood Watch area, with locally higher amounts of 6โ€“9 inches possible.

โš ๏ธ Flood Watch: Santa Fe and Galveston County remain under a Flood Watch through 7:00 AM Wednesday. Excessive rainfall could result in flooding of roadways, low-lying areas, creeks and other flood-prone locations.

๐Ÿ’จ Winds: Gusty winds may occur with stronger rainbands as the system moves through the region.

๐ŸŒ€ Storm Strength: Edouard is forecast to strengthen before reaching the coast later today and could approach hurricane strength before landfall.

Residents are encouraged to remain weather aware, monitor trusted sources for updates and avoid flooded roadways.

The City of Santa Fe will continue monitoring conditions and share additional information as needed.

For the latest official information, visit the NOAA NWS National Hurricane Center and US National Weather Service Houston-Galveston Texas.
