We are excited to share highlights from our incredible experience at the HOSA-Future Health Professionals International Leadership Conference held this summer in Indianapolis, Indiana! 🩺
This year's conference was especially memorable as HOSA celebrated its 50th Anniversary, bringing together thousands of students from around the world to showcase their talents and passion for healthcare.
We are extremely proud that 10 New Mexico Connections Academy students qualified to compete at the international level in multiple competitive events. The competition was intense, but our students represented New Mexico Connections Academy with professionalism, determination, grace, and respect throughout the week.
Students competed in the following categories.

New Mexico Connections Academy proudly earned 4th Place in the Photo Collection competitive event, bringing home another trophy for our office display case!
Beyond competition, our members took full advantage of everything the conference had to offer. They enjoyed exploring Indianapolis, creating lasting memories together, and attending the exciting HOSA Expo, where they traded pins with students from around the world, explored a wide variety of healthcare careers, connected with college and university representatives, and immersed themselves in academic and career exploration.
Our members also participated in engaging, hands-on workshops designed to expand their healthcare knowledge and skills. One of the highlights was the CPR and First Aid Training, where members practiced and were assessed through realistic emergency scenarios. These are valuable life skills they will carry with them well beyond high school.
This group truly made the most of every opportunity, and we couldn't be prouder of their hard work, growth, and accomplishments. Thank you to everyone who has supported our HOSA chapter throughout the year; it truly makes experiences like this possible.
