Precinct 2 Constables Office was proud to collaborate with these law enforcement professionals to continue keeping Galveston County safe. Everyone did an outstanding job keeping guns and drugs off our streets and beaches. Let this send a message to those who come to our cities with ill intent. Break the law, go to jail. With over 50 arrests and numerous drugs and guns confiscated, no doubt lives were saved.

Another awesome day for the future of Precinct 2 Constables. Yesterday, February 12th, I swore in Deputy Robert Judson to fill my last open position. Deputy Judson comes with well over 30 years of experience ranging from crime scene search and evidence preservation and advanced accident investigation. We are excited to have him join our team and our family. Welcome Deputy Judson!

What a day for Precinct 2 Constables Office! We had several ceremonies honoring and promoting some of the best in the business. Starting with a Letter of Recognition to Deputy Bubba Cox for his tireless efforts throughout the county as it relates to the Honor Guard Program. His attention to detail is unmatched. An Achievement and Recognition award to our outgoing Chief Deputy Brian Gately for his dedicated service throughout the last 45 years, especially to the Constables Office. Two retirements, one for now Chief Danny Sendejas with the Bayou Vista Police Department, who left for that position late last year. Thank you for your service to our office and the other for Deputy Bill Scott!! The legend himself, retiring after over 61 years of continuous service in Galveston County! What an accomplishment and an honor it's been having him as an integral part of our team. The swearing in of our newest Deputy, Joe Millo from GPD. Joe wore many hats at Galveston PD and brings alot of experience to our office. We are all looking forward to working with him! Lastly, the promotion of Randall Johnston as our new Chief Deputy who brings a treasure trove of experience, common sense and leadership to the table. I know without a doubt, he will propel Pct. 2 to the next level! Thank you to all the support from families and friends in attendance. May God bless you all. Stay safe and warm this weekend!

The Precinct 2 Galveston County Constables Office wishes you all a very Happy New Year. It's that time of year however that tragedy strikes due to excessive drinking. Please plan ahead and designate a driver or use one of the many options available from calling a taxi to any of the ride platforms like Uber or Lyft. Please don't take that chance, it's just not worth it. Furthermore, police and deputies will be out actively looking for drivers under the influence, you'll eventually get home safe, but it will be expensive!

On December 22nd, 2025 a catastrophic event took place just off Galveston Island in West Bay, just South of the Causeway Bridge. A plane crash took the lives of 6 people where only two individuals aboard survived. The Precinct 2 Constables office wishes to extend its deepest sympathy and offer its condolences to the families who lost their loved ones. May they rest in peace.

The bravery displayed by local first responders was nothing short of heroic. The effort and response was classic to the passion that exists among Galveston County responders in helping others and saving lives. A huge shout out to all who responded both on and off duty from dispatchers to police officers, deputies, EMS and firefighters. It takes a collaborative and coordinated effort for this scale of an event. Also deserving recognition were the civilians who eagerly assisted with private vessels and equipment to assist first responders getting out to the scene. The dense fog made it difficult to navigate during recovery efforts but all prevailed and pushed on without hesitation. It’s difficult to understand why these things happen, especially during the holiday season, but they do.

Please keep not only the families of the crash victims in your prayers but first responders as well. Responding in the moment and sacrificing safety for others is normal and performed instinctively. It’s when we get home, the battle starts. Re-living the images, second guessing our actions and just trying to comprehend it all and make sense of it is grueling to say the least. Tough week for Galveston County Law Enforcement. We lost two heroes way too early. Precinct 2 Constables Office wishes to extend its sincere condolences to the LaMarque and League City Police Departments and the families of Sgt. Richard Garcia and Lt. Eric Cox. We pray that each find comfort soon and may they rest in peace.
