The City of Santa Fe Economic Development Corporation (EDC) is currently seeking residents who live within the Santa Fe city limits to apply for the Economic Development Corporation Board.

Economic Development Corporation Board terms for Position #2, Position #4, and Position #6 are expiring in September 2026.

The Economic Development Corporation plays an important role in supporting business growth, job creation, and community development in Santa Fe.

From attracting new investment to funding projects that enhance quality of life, the EDC helps shape the future of our city.

Koke’s Burritos just opened their second location at 13230 FM 1764 Ste. A, Santa Fe, TX 77510.

Their other location at 15626 Highway 6, Santa Fe, TX 77517 is still open, as well.

🇺🇸 Stars Over 6 Independence Day Celebration is almost here! 🇺🇸

We are looking forward to celebrating with everyone this Saturday, July 4, 2026, at the Galveston County Fairgrounds!

Before you head out, here are a few important reminders:
⭐ Gates open at 4:00 p.m.
🪑 Please bring your own lawn chairs so you can relax and enjoy the festivities.
🚫 NO outside food, drinks, or coolers are permitted on the fairgrounds.

🥧 Pie Baking Contest
If you are participating in the Pie Baking Contest, please submit your pie inside Ed Pickett Hall no later than 5:00 p.m. Judging will begin shortly afterward. Pie Baking Entry Forms can be found on the Stars Over 6 City of Santa Fe Webpage linked below.

🇺🇸 Most Patriotic Contest
If you would like to participate in the Most Patriotic Contest, please make your way to the covered pavilion by the stage by 7:50 p.m. Participants will be called to the stage shortly after and judging will begin at approximately 8:05 p.m.

🐑 Mutton Busting
Check-in begins: 4:00 PM
Mutton Busting registration forms and waivers are available on the Stars Over 6 webpage linked below. All completed forms and payment must be submitted directly to the Coastal Kowkids Association. Please submit payment onsite on Saturday. Cash payments are preferred but Venmo and CashApp will be accepted, as well.

🥧Pie Bakers, it’s your time to shine!🥧

Join us at the Stars Over 6 Independence Day Celebration for our Pie Baking Contest on Saturday, July 4, 2026!

For just $10 per pie entry, show off your baking skills and compete in one of our patriotic pie categories:

🔴 Red Category – Cherry Pie
⚪ White Category – Apple Pie
🔵 Blue Category – Blueberry Pie
