We recently said farewell to Ron as he entered retirement.

Ron not only brought so much energy, humor, and personality to the office—always keeping us on our toes and finding ways to make the day a little more fun (like fitting as many coworkers as possible onto a tiny couch)—but he was also dedicated and hardworking in his role.

He’ll be greatly missed, and we wish him all the happiness and relaxation in this next chapter. Congratulations, Ron!

📍 May Outreach Recap – Notice of Value Season

Throughout the month of May, the Santa Fe County Assessor’s Office traveled across Santa Fe County to help property owners during Notice of Value season.

From Edgewood to Santa Cruz, with stops in communities including Madrid, La Cienega, Eldorado, and many others, our team met with residents where they live, work, and gather—answering questions, reviewing property information, and assisting taxpayers with the Notice of Value and protest process.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and connected with us this season. We are proud to serve our communities and remain committed to providing accessible, transparent, and responsive service throughout Santa Fe County.

📊 More than numbers — it’s about service to our community.

This week, Assessor Isaiah F. Romero and Deputy Assessor Ivan Barry presented the Santa Fe County Assessor’s Office 2026 Annual Report and Valuation Maintenance Program to the Santa Fe County Board of County Commissioners, reflecting on a year of progress and outlining goals for 2027.

Over the past year, our team continued working to improve accessibility, maintain fair and accurate property valuations, and expand outreach efforts across Santa Fe County.

Looking ahead, we’re focused on smarter technology, stronger communication with residents, and continued improvements to the valuation process to better serve our growing community.

Fairness. Transparency. Service.
That’s the work driving us into 2027. ⭐

We had a great Assessor’s Office Training Day!

We started the morning at the Santa Fe County Chambers, where we completed our required HR trainings as a team. From there, we headed to Rudy’s to enjoy lunch together and spend some time connecting outside of the office.

In the afternoon, our Customer Service team led an interactive presentation focused on team building and preparing the office for customer support as we head into our busy Notice of Value season. Thank you to everyone who helped make the day both productive and engaging.

Reminder: Notices of Value will be mailed this Friday, May 1.
