A big thank you to our amazing team for all the hard work you’ve put in so far. Now that we’ve had a chance to recharge, we’re ready to keep the momentum going!

How do you assess livestock? How are agricultural properties valued? What challenges are counties across New Mexico facing when it comes to property assessment?

These were just a few of the topics discussed last week as Chief Deputy Assessor Ivan Barry and Operations Manager Jen Romero represented the Santa Fe County Assessor’s Office at the 89th Annual New Mexico Counties Conference in Gallup NM.

As Chair of the NMC Assessors' Affiliate, Ivan helped facilitate discussions among assessors, legislators, and other elected officials from across the state, providing leadership on issues affecting property assessment and county government operations.

The conference brought together county professionals from across New Mexico for conversations on issues that directly impact local governments and the communities they serve. Joint sessions with the Clerks and GIS Affiliates also provided an opportunity to explore how our offices work together behind the scenes to support county operations.

We are proud to have been part of the discussion and appreciate Ivan and Jen for representing Santa Fe County.
