As Film Santa Monica enters year two, we’re paying attention to what’s happening in Sacramento and the White House, and what those decisions could mean for the people who make film and television possible.

Post-production incentives are an important part of that conversation. Filmmaking continues long after the cameras stop rolling, with editors, sound teams, composers, visual effects artists and colorists bringing the story across the finish line.

For Santa Monica, supporting that work means more opportunities for our creative community and local businesses. Even when a project shoots somewhere else, we want Santa Monica to be part of the conversation about where it gets finished.
