🏠 MYTH: Habitat Homes are FREE! ❌

Let’s bust that myth! 👇 Habitat Homeowners apply for homeownership much like anyone going through the home-buying process. Once accepted, homeowners complete 250 hours of sweat equity and pay an affordable monthly mortgage (just like any financed home).

Habitat homeownership isn’t a handout. It’s a helping hand to lift up families in our community and create strength, stability, and opportunity. 💙🏡

Tonight, our team was honored beyond measure to receive a generous gift from Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation! ✨

Our sincerest thanks to their incredible team, board, patrons, and donors whose generosity made this moment possible. Because of their support, we broke ground on Teresa Lane, Habitat Walton’s newest neighborhood, where nine new front doors will soon open for hardworking families who live and work alongside us in our community, providing security, stability, and opportunity. 🏠💙

🌿 Growing Love, One Home at a Time! 🏡💚

A heartfelt thank you to the UF / IFAS Extension Walton County Master Gardener Volunteers for providing beautiful landscaping for for Habitat Walton homeowners since our Hope Village Development!

Recently, this incredible team worked on Habitat Home #76 alongside homeowner Tenesha and her girls. We are so grateful for the time, talent, plants, and labor you’ve gifted to help make their house a home. Even more special, you include our homeowners in the process honoring their preferences while teaching valuable gardening and maintenance skills they can enjoy for years to come. 🌱

These impactful gifts do more than beautify a yard they help families put down roots, grow confidence, and create a place they’re proud to call home. Thank you for helping us grow love in these homes! 💙
