pporting children and families. Founder Margaret Short, M.S., BCBA, is a longtime local and toddler mom with a deep commitment to her community. With years of experience in behavior therapy and parent coaching, Margaret has helped countless families navigate the early years with confidence and connection. Rooted in clinical expertise and built with love, The Play Studio is more than a place to play—it’s a community designed to nurture development through movement, creativity, and meaningful interaction.

It’s apple-picking season for BOTH the Littles and the Big Kids at The Play Studio next week! 🍎

🌳 Littles (Ages 2-6) are invited to join us for a morning of hands-on creativity, sensory exploration, and play inspired by a trip to the apple orchard. Little apple pickers will create colorful apple art with marble painting, try their hand at apple stamping, pick their own apples in our sensory station, and scrub them clean at our apple washing station! Once activities are complete, families are welcome to head into the playroom to continue the fun!

Recommended for ages 2–6, but older children who love creating and playing are always welcome!

NOW INTRODUCING: Big Kid Art Classes 🎨

Big kids (Kindergarten through 3rd Grade) are invited to join us for an afternoon art class inspired by the colors of an apple orchard. Young artists will learn about pointillism, a painting technique that uses tiny dots of color to create an image, before creating their very own pointillism apple tree masterpiece to take home.

🎨 Class Arrival & Parent Information:
• This is a 60-minute art class.
• Please bring your young artist directly to The Play Studio classroom entrance, located around the back of the building. Look for the classroom door marked with a “Play Studio” sign—there’s no need to enter through the main playroom!
• At the end of class, you’ll return to the classroom for pick-up.
• Parents will not participate in the classroom; however, a parent or guardian is required to remain on-site for the duration of the class. Parents are encouraged to relax in the parent seating area of the playroom while their artist creates. There is a window that parents can observe the class through.

📢 Playroom admission for the big kids is not included with art class registration.

Aloha, little ones! 🌴 Monday & Tuesday, we’re bringing the tropics to The Play Studio with a full morning of summer crafts and sensory play.

🎉 To our Play Studio community… THANK YOU. Your love and support during our soft launch phase has meant everything and we are so excited to show you what we have been working on for our full scale launch! 🙌

We are bringing to life our Play Studio Town (complete with a doctors office and vet clinic, salon, and market), monkey bars, and an active play structure (complete with a swing and slide) - all designed to encourage imaginative play, movement, and adventure. There’s still even more to come, and we can’t wait to show you the full space as it comes together!✨

To make these improvements happen, we will be CLOSED for remodeling beginning Saturday, October 10th through October 31st. Our last Soft Launch open play day will be Friday, October 9th! 🛠️

Here’s what you need to know:

💛 Founding Memberships: Secure yours by September 9th to lock in your rate before our improvements roll out.
💛 No membership fees in October: Members will NOT be billed during our closure month.
💛 Members, 50% off open play: From October 1st to October 9th, members will enjoy half off open play sessions… don’t miss your last chance to play before we close!
💛 Birthday parties: Book now and lock in current birthday party pricing. All parties booked before October 31st regardless of party date will be honored at soft launch prices.

As these improvements come to life, you can expect pricing to evolve too… so now’s the time to secure those memberships and birthday party dates. New pricing will be released as we get closer to our Grand Opening.
