About Honor Flight of Northern New Mexico
Mission Statement
Honor Flight of Northern New Mexico’s mission is to celebrate America's Veterans by inviting them to share in a day of honor at our nation's memorials.

Vision Statement
Honor Flight of Northern New Mexico’s vision is a nation where all of America's Veterans experience the honor, gratitude, and community of support they deserve.

Honor Flight of Northern New Mexico (HFNNM), established in 2013, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit hub of the national Honor Flight Network. Our mission is to honor New Mexico Veterans for their service and sacrifices by providing them with a free "trip of a lifetime" to Washington, D.C.

The Mission and Priority
The core goal of this organization is to offer honor and closure as Veterans visit and reflect at their national memorials.
Priority is given to: World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War Veterans, as well as terminally ill Veterans from any conflict.

Two of our local veterans Charlie Gallegos and Lester Lamb were selected along with their Guardians Carlos Gallegos Jr. and Mark Burdick to experience this once in a lifetime event. We at the David J Flores Veterans Center thank you both for your outstanding service and sacrifice you gave and congratulations on this accomplishment.

Santa Rosa High School grad Shaun J Storey came by to visit the David J Flores Veterans Center today. Shaun serves as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corp with the Marine Medium Tiltrotor squadron 162( VMM 162) on MCAS New River based in Jacksonville North Carolina. CPL Storey and VMM-162 just returned home after a six month deployment in support of combined joint task force- Horn of Africa. The Veterans of Guadalupe County wish Shaun all the best and continued success in his military career.

To all Guadalupe County Veterans and community members on behalf of the David J Flores Veterans center and Veterans we would like to thank all who attended yesterday's Veterans day ceremony. The ceremony was a huge success with over 150 attending honoring our veterans. I want to thank our County Manager Diana Urban and County commissioners for their support, the City of Santa Rosa, Santa Rosa High School and Santa Rosa Mid School students and teachers Ms. Peretti, and Ms. Johnson and Chris Pacheco for the outstanding presentations. The students were very helpful and respectful. We want to thank sponsors United Healthcare Monica and Tommy Lopez, La Villa Herman and Anna Baca, Truck stops of America Gilbert Romero, Dairy Queen's Mr. George Dodge, and our guest speaker Colonel Mary Francis Laumbach for a wonderful speech, also Father Jacob Romero and Deacon Marvin Marquez for the beautiful prayers.Thank You Kameron Urban for being the MC. A big shout out to our Veterans Advisory Committee and the cooks Robert Serrano and Michael Velasquez and all the Veterans who helped with the flags at our cemeteries across the county and other details that made the ceremony a huge success. We want to thank our Guadalupe County Veterans from Anton Chico who came by to be interviewed by High School Seniors Shaun Storey and Arturo Velasquez. They were all Vietnam Veterans. Thank you for your sacrifices, for your valor, for the things you carry, for protecting us, and for defending our rights.
