School may be out, but nutrition doesn’t take a break.

The Redwood Empire Food Bank’s Summer Lunch Program is back until August 7, 2026, providing free, healthy meals for children across Sonoma County.

With locations in cities including Santa Rosa, Petaluma, Healdsburg, Sonoma, Windsor, Cotati, Rohnert Park, and Cloverdale, families can access both sit-down meals and grab-and-go options at select sites.

Thanks to our partners in local schools and community organizations, thousands of children will have consistent access to the food they need all summer long.

WE DID IT! Our goal was 20,000 bags of rice for Rally for Rice—and you truly riced to the occasion 🌾

Thanks to your incredible support and generosity, we collected 27,608 bags of rice. These contributions will help nourish thousands of people facing hunger in our community.

We’re so grateful to everyone who donated, shared, and helped make this campaign such a big success.

In this shift, our volunteers are helping pack thousands of pounds of fresh produce for neighbors across our community.

In just one volunteer shift at our warehouse, volunteers can help sort and pack:
• Over 2,500 lbs of fresh produce
• Nearly 600 senior boxes
• Around 1,500 lbs of bread
• Up to 2,000 lbs of canned goods

Every box packed and every pound sorted helps get nutritious food to children, families, and seniors who need it most.

We're looking for a few extra helping hands from 8:45–10:45 AM this Friday, June 5, at our Vintage at Bennett Valley Senior Apartment food distribution in Santa Rosa.

This summer, no child in Sonoma County should go without a healthy meal.

From June 8 to August 7, 2026, the Redwood Empire Food Bank’s Summer Lunch Program will provide free, nutritious meals for kids at sites across the county—including sit-down meals and grab-and-go options at select locations.

Together with our incredible school district and community partners, we’re helping kids stay nourished all summer long.
