CARNIVAL:

A long standing VCS tradition is celebrating the last day of school with a carnival! All current, alumni and new families are welcome to join.

Friday 6/5-right after graduation around 3pm. Food, games, cake walk, raffle and more.

We will be selling tickets for food, games, etc the day of. Please send your kid(s) with cash to purchase if possible. One ticket equals $1. Will be offering a bundle of 25 tickets for $20. Each activity/game, raffle entry and food are 1 ticket each. Please note-No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Cash
preferred or scan to pay accepted.

Raffle!

We are seeking donations for our raffle. These should be items laying around your house-NOTHING NEWLY PURCHASED. Items should be gently used or new and unwrapped. Popular items from past years have been-Stuffed animals/squishmellows, puzzles, games, art and crafts supplies, journals/notebooks, sports gear/equipment, book sets, musical instruments, boxed activities, backpacks/purses, and many more items. Please bring to office labeled ‘raffle’. PLEASE BRING NO LATER THAN THURSDAY 6/4 or Friday AM AT DROP OFF

Cake walk:

We need treats for our cake walk-gluten free, nut free, dairy free, sugary, all kinds and good variety! Homemade or store bought. Please send on disposable plates, platters, etc. If possible please label speciality items and bring to the office ofternoon of 6/4 or morning of 6/5

Also a change of clothes/towel for some possible water play!!!

Reminders:

Final PA meeting / brunch at Acorn on Monday June 1. Come to do some planning, and lots of hanging out with other VCS parents.

🎡 We're still needing some volunteers for spots in carnival, especially manning the front table to sell tickets, and the individual booths.

Friday Spring Festival info

Our Spring Festival is this Friday at 6:00 PM, preceded by a potluck at 5:15 PM. Classroom call time for performers is 5:45 PM.

🥘 If you are supplying a dish for the potluck, please remember to label it for those with dietary restrictions
🍽️ Bring your own reusable plates, cups, and utensils as disposables will not be provided.
👗 Look for communication from your child’s teacher about festival attire
🪑 You are welcome to bring lawn chairs or blankets for your viewing comfort
🥪 If you are planning to leave your child in Extended Care until the event, be sure to pack extra food
💐 If you’re donating flowers, you can drop them off any time Thursday or Friday in the office. Thank you!
🌺 The Middle School -Campus Beautification Group service project are hosting a bake sale Friday at the potluck
🍪 There will be cookies, brownies, lemonade and pozole.
