Kid Street families, mark your calendars for Thursday, May 14, and plan to attend our Kid Street Charter School Open House from 4:30 to 6:00 pm. See what your student has been working on in their class, talk to their teacher, catch up with other parents in our Kid Street community, and plan to enjoy a hot dog dinner (sponsored by SOMA Church)! Flyers will be coming home on Monday, and we can't wait to see you!

Thank you to all the stylists who volunteered their time for our first Free Haircut Friday! The kids all look amazing, and some of our adults are also rocking some style!! Thank you to Christina Madden and our principal, Kathleen, for coordinating this wonderful service for our Kid Street Community!

For over 10 years, Kid Street Charter School has been participating in BPM's art contest. On Thursday, the awards were given out, chosen by all the employees in their North Bay office. Congratulations to Emery, CC, and Janie on being chosen as the company's favorites out of all the submissions!

Earlier this month, our 3rd- and 4th-grade classes participated in SCOE's STEAM Showcase, who invited our students to show their projects incorporating two or more areas of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). During the full-day Showcase, our students presented their projects and engaged in hands-on STEAM activities and challenges.

Our classes finished the event with very high marks for their presentations, receiving distinguished badges and positive feedback from the judges!

Congratulations to Kid Street's 3rd- and 4th-grade classes!

Today's Kid Street Charter School Spirit Day theme was, "Dress like your teacher". Based on these students, our kids definitely know their teachers!
