Was a member of the School's delegation to the statewide Student Senate of California Community Colleges' (SSCCC) General Assembly last Fall. The current Inter-Club Council Vice Chair
Current president of the SRJC Atheists and Skeptics Club, and has organized joint meetings between the Atheists and Skeptics Club and Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. Won silver in a state-wide speech and debate competition, and competed in a national speech and debate tournament. Is an Eagle Scout and former Assistant Scout Master in the Boy Scouts of America, but disagrees with the organization's discriminatory policies. Competed in the 2008-2009 Lions Club Speech Contest, winning over $100. Won gold in the Academic Decathlon in 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 school years. Won the National Geographic geography bee at Wilson Elementary School in 1999, beating out children who were three grades ahead of him. Joshua Jared "Shua" Pinaula:
