There are moments when aging can feel lonely and uncertain.

When the house is too quiet.
When memory begins to fade.
When caregivers feel overwhelmed.

At Council on Aging, we refuse to let seniors face these moments alone.

Beyond Meals on Wheels, we provide mental health support through PEARLS (Program to Encourage Active, Rewarding Lives) and compassionate Adult Day Dementia Programs that bring connection, purpose, and peace of mind to older adults and their families.

Now, these vital programs are facing funding cuts — and we need your help.

Please consider making a donation today or starting a monthly gift to support seniors in our community by clicking https://www.councilonaging.com/donate or by mailing a check to the Council on Aging - Spring Appeal, 30 Kawana Springs Road, Santa Rosa, CA 95404.

Our 2nd Annual Generations in Motion on Saturday, May 9 was such a great reminder about the power of community!

It was wonderful seeing everyone come together to have fun, engage in movement, be in nature, and connect with one another.

Highlights:

- 20 Community Tabling Partners joined us for our Community Resource Fair! Thank you to all the amazing tabling partners that brought their energy and resources to Generations in Motions participants. Loved meeting you all!

- Loved seeing adults and kids engage in the "Fun Zone" stations including bubbles, Giant Kerplunk, bouncing balls, and photo station.

- Wonderful guided warm up led by Coach David, a Senior Fitness Specialist with Perez Personal Training.

- Two walking routes around beautiful Spring Lake allowed guests to choose their own path and have glimpses of baby goslings and their parents.

- Enjoyed a delicious lunch lakeside compliments of Rhonda and her girls from Drip Sandwiches

Thank you to Council on Aging staff, volunteers, and community members for showing up!

If we missed you, we hope to see you next year :)
