Small actions can make a big impact! 🌱⚡️

At Daily Acts, every step toward sustainability counts, from transforming lawns to water-wise habitat gardens to driving electric vehicles. Thanks to Sonoma Clean Power's Nonprofit EV Rebate, the team now travels across Sonoma County with a lighter environmental footprint, supporting site visits, workshops, and community events more efficiently than ever. Even during a stormy Earth Day project in Petaluma, their EV helped keep materials dry, reduce trips, and keep the project running smoothly.

About 30% of Americans don’t drive due to age, disability, income, or personal choice. Here in Sonoma County, that can make everyday life incredibly difficult. If we want to build a community where everyone can participate fully and move around safely and independently, we need our leaders to understand these challenges firsthand — and we need to organize for change.

That’s the idea behind the national Week Without Driving campaign. The program invites elected officials, decision-makers, and community leaders to spend a week without driving so they can directly experience the barriers faced by people who rely on transit, walking, biking, paratransit, or rides from others.

On Monday, June 15, North Bay Transit Riders will host a special Zoom meeting featuring Ruth Rosas, who has led the national Week Without Driving effort for the past four years. Ruth is an inspiring advocate and dynamic speaker, and she’ll share how communities like ours can organize a local Week Without Driving during the first week of October.
