Had a blast again at the Himalaya. Larissa and Terry are so nice, knowledgeable, and encouraging! The greens were out for me this time (pics in comments). Well worth the dig fee!

We are here! April 15-17... Denver! The theme is "how has mining changed your life?" Mining has been my life. Opening our mines to the public has been the most interesting change in my life, being a small part of the big treasure hunt! Seeing where it goes for others. Watching the journey of the gems! Hearing the stories of what the treasures have become and the flat tire adventures and hammered thumbs that one endures to get them. I enjoy all the folks that have visited and dug with us! Beauty from the Himalaya! Have to agree Spring is time for green - Tourmaline that is - it's tendency towards dichroism can often show two (or more) colors on face-up :) This rare color from the Himalaya Mine in California is positively verdant!

Found this beautiful Smoky quartz point with a perfectly terminated pink tourmaline!! Both are very translucent. Thanks for the great day.Found tons of amazing stones. See y'all soon.
