Intertribal Friendship House and Indian Health Center of Santa Clara Valley invite community members who participated in the MMIP surveys back in March 2025 to join us for a community report back. IHCSCV will be sharing an update on the survey findings before Drum & Dance Practice dinner. Some of the information may feel heavy, but support will be available on-site for anyone who may need someone to talk to.

We hope to see you there as we continue this important work for our relatives.

June is Pride Month, a time to honor the strength, resilience, and beauty of LGBTQ+ communities. For Native peoples, this month also carries a deeper cultural truth.

Many of our Nations have long recognized Two-Spirit and gender-diverse relatives as sacred, as people who carry unique gifts, wisdom, and responsibilities within community.

Colonization disrupted these traditions, silencing identities that once held respected roles. Pride is a time to reclaim that history, uplift our relatives, and restore balance by honoring who we have always been.

At Southern Indian Health Council, we stand with our LGBTQ+ and Two-Spirit relatives. We recognize the importance of culturally grounded care, safety, and respect for all identities.

This month and every month, we commit to supporting the health, dignity, and visibility of our community with compassion and understanding.
