HOC EMT Program This course provides entry-level training in emergency medical care techniques.

The EMT-B course is designed to provide students with entry-level training in the assessment and care of the ill or injured and prepare students for the NREMT-B written and practical ( Skills) certification examination correlated to the 1994 U.S Department of Transportation's " Emergency Medical Technician- Basic National Standard Curriculum."

Big news! 🆕 CAL FIRE has extended the Fire Fighter I application period until 3/31/23!

If you were not able to apply in November, or are still completing your certifications, you can take advantage of this extension. Take as many classes as you can because what you do today will become the stepping stone for future accomplishments. 📖

Applicants will be placed in the appropriate category as follows, so take as many classes as you can listed in the requirements on our website before submitting your application. 👇

Category 1️⃣ The applicant is considered "fully trained" and has provided an acceptable document showing completion of ALL of the required trainings listed.

Category 2️⃣ The applicant is considered "partially trained" and has provided an acceptable document showing completion of at least one of the required trainings, OR the desirable experience listed.

Category 3️⃣ The applicant has not provided acceptable documentation for any of the required trainings or desirable experience listed.

I know we are posting about the 24 Firefighters that just started the academy with us...but we will be hiring for more spots again soon! Apps can be submitted between May 6 and May 10. You need a CPAT within the last year, an FCTC written and a CSFM FF1 cert or Accredited California State Fire Academy. Good luck!
