Life isn't always a smooth path. Sometimes there are tears, sometimes there is heartache, and sometimes there are failures that make us want to quit.

But remember: Failures are just lessons on the way to your purpose. If you’re in a season of trials, don’t get stuck there. Cry if you must, but keep moving. Fail forward. Lean on His strength and take the next step. Your story isn't over yet! ✨

Your Past Doesn’t Define You
You are not the sum of your mistakes. You are not bound by the chapters you’ve already lived. God is not consulting your history to write your destiny.

You are being renewed. You are being restored. You are becoming.

“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

Let today be the day you stop measuring yourself by old pain. You are worthy because God says so. You are loved because grace says so. You are rising because purpose says so.

✨ Walk in that truth. ✨ Speak from that truth. ✨ Live from that truth.

Last week, the Oklahoma Department of Human Services was notified that SNAP benefits will be suspended beginning November 1 because of the ongoing federal government shutdown. We know that this is incredibly distressing for families who rely on SNAP benefits and nonprofits who are serving their neighbors.

If you or someone you know is affected, help is available. No matter where you live in Eastern Oklahoma, you can call 211 or visit 211eok.org to find food services including food pantries, walk-in meal sites, home delivery, and congregate meals/nutrition sites.

If you would like to help, you can donate funds, food, or your time to local food pantries and nonprofits that serve these families and individuals.

During uncertain times, Tulsa Area United Way is steadfast in our mission to connect people to resources and to mobilize our community to come together.
