Join us on Tuesdays in alternating locations this month for our Home-Based Learning Group! Each meeting, we will plan a STEAM based activity for elementary aged children. 📐🎨

On October 20th at the Saranac location, there will be a self-guided meeting of the Home-Based Learning Group, and on October 27th at the Clarksville location we will have a Halloween party! Please visit our website calendar for more information on upcoming SCDL events and programs!

Saranac is hosting a game night all about popular tabletop games from the late 90's and early 2000's! 🌀🎲 We will have places available in our community room for you to battle Pokemon and engage in a Beyblade tournament, along with crafts including Pokemon card designing. Join us on October 15th for this exciting program!

Please note: The library will only have playmats and arenas available for battling. Patrons will need to bring their own play materials to participate in the battles. This event is also for youth and tweens ONLY.

Union Bank is proud to partner with the Saranac Clarksville District Library to offer a free three-part financial literacy series for teens and young adults ages 13+.

Participants will learn:
✅ Budgeting Basics
✅ Intro to Credit
✅ Be Mindful of Your Digital Money

Whether you're preparing for your first paycheck, opening a bank account or making purchases online, these sessions will provide practical tools and confidence to help you make smart financial decisions now and in the future.

This is the final week for our teen program, Letter to a Librarian! Through October 17th, come to either of our locations, fill out a letter, and turn it in to a librarian to be matched with a free book! 📜

We will try to match you with a book that we feel will fit your reading taste. They will be wrapped and covered in little gifts, including bookmarks, stickers, and a trinket. If you are unable to make it in to the library, fill out this survey! https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/W5JNLH3

There are nine new bestsellers, five new movies, six new children's books, and eleven other new books.

The new bestsellers this week include "The Witch," "The Altar of Pergamon," and "Bad Words." The new movies this week include "Toy Story 5," "The Mandalorian and Grogu," and "Outlander Season 8."
