π¨ South Gate Community β We Need Your Voice! π¨
In addition to writing to our County Commissioners, the county just released its Resilient SRQ Recovery Draft Plan, and NOW is the time to take action! We need to flood their comments with two critical requests:
β
Dredge Phillippi Creek all the way to Pinecraft β Restoring full water flow is essential to reducing future flood risks. We currently have several islands built up in front of our Community Center.
β
Dredge the oxbows β This means dredging all the way around the two islands in our community, not just the Phillippi Creek side. These oxbows are critical for stormwater runoff, and without proper dredging, we are at a much higher risk of flooding!
