Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium maintains a library and archive in support of the research performed at Mote. The physical library is open by appointment to the public from 8-5, Monday through Friday, and by special arrangement on weekends. Electronic collections are accessible anytime via our website, mote.org/library

We maintain

both digital and print collections, including approximately 23,000 books and 5,600 serial subscriptions. Our archival special collections contain materials from the Bass Biological Laboratory Collection, Charles M. Collection, Dr. Eugenie Clark Collection, Dr. Perry W. Gilbert Collection, Dr. James E. Woods Collection, Pauline S. Becker Collection, Mina Walther Collection, Herbarium (MOT): Algae and Seagrasses Specimens Collection, Herman Gross underwater slide Collection, over 1300 peer-reviewed articles by Mote researchers; Mote Laboratory collected papers, Reprints, and more than 1,750 Mote Technical Reports.
