From their first curious adventures to becoming beloved members of the Big Cat Habitat family, these two have brought so much joy, laughter, and capybara charm to everyone they've met. Whether they're relaxing poolside, enjoying their favorite snacks, or showing off their laid-back personalities, Chief and Swift always know how to steal the spotlight!

Our caiman lizard enjoying some snails 🐌

Caiman lizards are vibrant, semi-aquatic reptiles found in South American swamps and forests, recognizable by their red-orange head, green body, and crocodile-like scales. These specialized hunters spend most of their time in water, using their powerful jaws and flat, molar-like teeth to crush, eat, and discard the shells of their primary prey: snails. This little guy was surrendered to us after he was brought back to a local pet store after being bought as a pet. Always make sure to do your research before purchasing any pet to ensure that you can provide them the quality of life that they deserve! 🦎
